COVID-19: Updates & Info

With the outbreak of the COVID-19 Delta variant in New Zealand, we’ve changed the way we’re operating here at Local Doctors to ensure the safety of you and your whānau. Throughout the Lockdown period, we’ll use this page to keep you updated on the status of our clinics, as well as any important changes you need to know.

Red Clinic & Green Clinic System

We are conscious that the COVID-19 Delta variant that is currently in New Zealand, can spread more easily than the original COVID-19 virus. To help our patients and staff reduce the spread of the Delta variant, White Cross and Local Doctors are setting up several clinics as either dedicated RED or GREEN clinics for the moment.

Green Clinics

Dedicated GREEN clinics are UNABLE TO TREAT patients that have respiratory symptoms such as a cough, cold, a runny nose, sore throats, and fever.

Red Clinics

Dedicated RED clinics are ONLY ABLE to treat patients with respiratory symptoms.

Mixed-Use Clinics

Our MIXED-USE clinics are set up with separate red and green areas and are able to treat all patients.

If you’re experiencing COVID-19 respiratory symptoms please head to one of our RED clinics. If you’re NOT experiencing any symptoms, please head to one of our GREEN clinics.

If the clinic you usually visit or are enrolled at is closed or not suitable, please head to any other suitable clinic in our network – you’ll be welcomed and we already have your notes on file.
